Getting around — transport between Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly
The Games corridor
The three host cities are linked by the toll motorway: allow roughly 30 to 45 minutes between Dakar and Diamniadio, and about the same between Diamniadio and Saly depending on traffic. The regional express train (TER) also connects central Dakar to Diamniadio in around twenty minutes — a fast, reliable option on competition days.
Choosing how to travel
For freedom of movement, renting a vehicle with or without a driver remains the most flexible option, especially to move between venues. In town, taxis can be hailed everywhere and ride-hailing apps operate in Dakar. For groups and delegations, shuttle and coach companies offer day-hire services.
